Deze opdracht omvat een masterplanvisie over toekomstige vormen van zorg die hier aangeboden kunnen worden, zowel op schaal van het hele terrein als op schaal van de zorgwerking via kleinschalige woonclusters. Daarnaast werd er onderzoek verricht naar relaties met de omgeving en hoe het terrein opengesteld kan worden naar de buurt samen met een hedendaagse en toekomstbestendige invulling van ouderenzorg. Uiteraard is onze visie slechts een voorzet tot dialoog en overleg met verschillende partners. Het nieuwe masterplan start vanuit het landschap, om al haar intrinsieke kwaliteiten en de ruimtelijke beleving van de campus te maximaliseren voor alle gebruikers en bewoners. Ten noorden ligt een kwalitatief bebost perceel, in het zuiden is er een prachtig zicht op de landbouwvelden van het Pajottenland. Deze opponenten worden verbonden met elkaar tot één groenzone. De nieuwe ontstane groenstrook is de kapstok van het masterplan waarop alle functies zich zullen oriënteren. Ze verbindt de natuur en zorgt voor een kruispunt met het stedelijke plein dat ten oosten van de site zal ontstaan. Op deze manier worden de meer stedelijke functies van de sportcampus verbonden met de intiemere woonfuncties van de zorgcampus. De vormgeving en positionering van de woongebouwen streeft naar het versterken van het thuisgevoel.
The brief includes a masterplan vision of the future forms of care that can be provided here, both at the scale of the whole site and at the scale of the care operation through small-scale residential clusters. It also looked at the relationship with the surrounding area and how the site could be opened up to the neighbourhood, as well as a contemporary and sustainable interpretation of care for the elderly. Of course, our vision is only a preliminary stage of dialogue and consultation with various partners. The new master plan starts from the landscape, to maximise all its intrinsic qualities and the spatial experience of the campus for all users and residents. To the north lies a qualitatively forested plot, while to the south there is a beautiful view of the Pajottenland agricultural fields. These opposites will be connected to each other to form a single green zone. The newly created green strip is the basis of the master plan on which all functions will be oriented. It connects nature and provides an intersection with the urban square that will arise to the east of the site. In this way, the more urban functions of the sports campus are linked to the more intimate residential functions of the care campus. The design and positioning of the residential buildings aims to enhance the sense of home.
